Jul 22, 2013

This July 2013 issue of Bendix Newsbrake contains major new initiatives from Bendix in both technology and marketing. Through advanced technological innovations, Bendix is continually creating new ways for you to put your foot down with confidence! Developments in this issue are firsts in industry and include, Hybrid Fusion Technology, Blue Titanium Stripe, Fibre Impregnated Rubber Steel Shims and Street Road Track.

As the world moves towards everything through digital means, we recognise there is still a need for a printed version of the Brake Pad & Shoe Data Book. This new edition for passenger and light commercial vehicles covers applications over 2013 & 2014. This update features over 6,000 references and boasts nearly 600 pages of comprehensive and invaluable information for the automotive industry. Also available is a new Passenger Vehicle Range Extension brochure, designed to be used in conjunction with the main Data Book.

Truck and Trailer is an important market and a new catalogue has been released that has updated heavy duty applications to commercial vehicles and highlights the brake pads, brake linings, brake shoes and hardware kits.

As well as over 50 new part numbers to suit over 25 vehicle manufacturers, there’s plenty more to find out about in this edition of Newsbrake, so enjoy reading!

In just one of the stories we feature the all new Bendix Fibre Impregnated Rubber Steel Shims:

Fibre Impregnated Rubber Steel Shims

Bendix noise absorbing shims are designed to effectively prevent the transmission of vibration and noise from the brake pad by reducing the effect of the dynamic forces generated during braking. The material construction utilises advanced Fibre Impregnated Rubber Steel technology making the Shims impervious to a wide range of climates, salt, water and oil. SEE THE DIFFERENCE FOR YOURSELF! A simple drop test shows how the noise absorption properties of the Bendix shim are superior to other shims on the market. Simply drop the shims one at- a-time onto a hard surface to hear how the sound of a Bendix shim compared to a standard shim produces a significantly softer, more muted sound. They are specifically designed by Bendix to each brake pad type to absorb vibration and reduce noise for the life of the brake pad. Mechanical lock technology provides full noise absorption even when the brake pad is under load. Bendix Noise Absorption Shims are tested in all weather and driving.
