Race 24 would kick away on Sunday morning with Craig Lowndes behind the wheel of the #888 Camaro for the opening stint. However, early in the stint, the Camaro would suffer from a broken gear shifter mount which would force a return to the pits, where a pit lane infringement would soon follow. Faced with enormous ground to make once the #888 Camaro was ready to rejoin the fold, the team ultimately brought it home to a P24 finish to round out Bathurst weekend. Craig and Zane had the following to say to cap off the team’s efforts.

Craig Lowndes: “We worked unbelievably hard today to get the car and keep the car going. I’ve got to give a big thank you to Supercheap and everyone apart of this Wildcard.”

Zane Goddard: “It’s been an absolute privilege working with everyone at Supercheap, everyone at Triple Eight, it’s been fantastic. Thank you to everyone that’s followed along, it’s been an absolute honour seeing everyone this weekend with the flags and signs and everything, it’s been pretty special.”
