Bendix expands range for full size 4x4s including LandCruiser 300 Series

New LandCruiser owners can now access the many benefits of Bendix Ultimate 4WD™ Sports & Performance Disc Brake Rotors, following this month’s release of front and rear options for LC300 and FJA300 variants, from 2021 model year onwards.

The latest Ultimate 4WD™ range expansion also takes in more of the increasingly popular big American pick-ups, with RAM’s 1500 DT series models from 2018 to current now also covered with front and rear options. And for Chevy Silverado fans, there’s now a front Ultimate 4WD™ Disc Brake Rotor option for models from 2020 to present.

Additionally, there’s now also more on offer for Ford Ranger options with rear Ultimate 4WD™ Sports & Performance Disc Brake Rotors for PX3 and Raptor variants from 2018 to 2020.

Ultimate 4WD™ Sports & Performance Disc Brake Rotors four-wheel-drive specific metallurgy which increases rotor strength at elevated temperatures while also providing high wear resistance – this increases overall rotor durability and reduces the chance of warping when very hot. Other benefits include high efficiency cooling pillars, which have been designed to channel cool air into the rotor, expelling hot air faster and increasing the resistance to thermal cracks.

And additional braking performance in this range is achieved through Bendix’s Diamond Tip Slot technology. This feature uses specially designed slots and V-shaped simples on the rotor surface to expel gasses, dirt and water more efficiently.

EURO+, Heavy Duty, General CT and EV Hybrid pad ranges expand
In other news this month, Bendix has expanded its Heavy Duty brake pad line-up with a rear pad option to suit Mercedes Benz Sprinter vans (W907, B907 and B910 series) from 2018 onwards, and a front option for VO series Ford Transit from 2014 to present.

The Heavy Duty pads are a multi-purpose pad designed for hard working vehicles that regularly tow or are used in other demanding applications. They offer longevity in high temperature conditions by working cooler for longer.

In the General CT brake pad range, new front and rear options have been released for Ford Puma models (JK Series) from 2020 onwards, along with front options for Toyota Yaris (MXPA10, MXPA11 and MXPA12) from 2020 to current.

General CT Brake Pads feature proven compounds that deliver reliable and secure stopping performance, coupled with a smooth and consistent pedal feel. Other benefits include noise and vibration absorbing shims for added driver and passenger comfort, and Bendix’s Blue Titanium Stripe technology, which provides superior stopping power ‘out of the box’ without the need for bedding in.

Bendix’s specially developed EV Hybrid brake pads offering has also grown this month, with new options for Tesla Model S and X from 2016 to present. These brake pads feature copper-free, organic brake friction material that sees them certified to the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) ‘N’ rating. This measure confirms the pads contain less than 0.5 of copper by weight, allowing Bendix to use the AASA LeafMark™ ‘N’ icon.

Rounding out this month’s new releases is the expansion of EURO+ to now offer front and options for Peugeot Expert from 2019 onwards and a front offering for Peugeot 3008 and 5008, also from 2019 onwards. VW’s Touareg (7L series) from 2003 to 2010, also receives a front EURO+ option.

EURO+ pads offer a proven, high performing aftermarket alternative to OE components. The pads meet ECE Regulation 90 that specifies the design, construction, performance requirements and test protocols for strict European regulations. Other benefits of the EURO+ Brake Pad range are low dust operation that helps keep rims cleaner, and braking performance that in most cases exceeds OE equivalents.
