Because Bendix General CT pads are designed to minimise two key factors that cause brake noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) – ‘excitation’ and ‘response’.
Excitation is like scratching your nails on a blackboard. It is created when two surfaces are rubbed together eg. a brake pad clamping on a rotor. Response is what happens when the vibration in the braking system makes the rotor act like a speaker. When braking systems experience friction excitation, the brake pads, rotor, calliper and suspension vibrate and resonate creating sound waves.
